Het is december, de laatste maand van het jaar. Nog even en 2020 gaat beginnen. Een mooi tijdstip om terug te kijken op een schitterend jaar vol gave nieuwe synthwave releases. In deze special komen de favoriete releases voorbij van verschillende artiesten. We gaan verder met Miles Matrix , een fantastische producer die de donkere randjes binnen de synthwave muziek opzoekt. Het album van deze week is Buena Vista van Miles Matrix . Het debuutalbum van de Oostenrijkse synthwave producer Miles Matrix is gewoon goed en het beluisteren waard. Zo, dat is eruit. Met Buena Vista laat Miles Matrix zijn voorliefde horen voor film soundtracks, video games en popmuziek uit de jaren ´80 van de vorige eeuw. Ook hoor je invloeden terug van grootheden als Jean-Michel Jarre en Vangelis. Het album zelf is een verzameling van verschillende stijlen synthwave. Zo hoor je naast uptempo outrun nummers als Night Striker ,  Super Getaway Driver: Miami  en Main Force Patrol ook ambient cinematic nummers als Adventure Club en You Did Good, Kid . Daarnaast zijn er samples van de sci-fi film Assignment: Outer Space uit 1960 terug te horen. Zeker geen verkeerde keus.
